The majority of our patients – it is difficult to express this in a percentage – but I believe I do not exaggerate when I say that 90% suffer from AIDS
and AIDS rarely occurs on its own, it mostly comes in the triple combination AIDS, Tuberculosis and Sexually Transmitted Diseases.
Why and when we admit a patient here does not depend so much on the diagnosis, but on the need. In other words: We admit patients here who cannot be nursed adequately at home.
