ECHO from THE MISSIONARY BENEDICTINES OF ST. OTTILIEN

With the Novena Appeal in late July we invited our friends to unite their prayers with those of our community as we observed a Nine Day Novena of Prayer and Masses in honour of the Assumption of Mary. Your financial sacrifice was sent to Fr. Gerard in Mandeni, South Africa, to provide medical attention for all - with a special outreach to orphaned victims of AIDS; and to train people of all walks of life as health care providers. The work of Fr. Gerard is not only one of administration and fund-raising, but one of pastoral care and ministry as shown in this pictorial report:
