Blessed Gérard's Children's Home was started on 15 May 2000 by dedicating part of Blessed Gérard's Care Centre and Hospice for this purpose and by employing two caregivers full time.
Blessed Gérard's Children's Home was officially launched by the Grand Hospitaller of the Order of Malta, Albrecht Baron Boeselager on 9 July 2000.
We constructed a new building for our Children's Home, which was blessed and opened on 15.12.2002.
We built major Extensions to Blessed Gérard's Care Centre in 2007 and 2008, which were blessed and opened by the new Bishop of Eshowe Xolelo Kumalo on 22 June 2008.
